How many hours will it take?
In the UK people usually take somewhere between 20 and 50 hours to learn to drive. How many lessons you need will depend on your aptitude for driving, any past experience and whether or not you can get practice between lessons with a relative or friend. The above courses are a guide to the amount of driving lessons you may need. It is not a guarantee that you will be ready for the test, this will depend on your individual progress
The most popular and easiest way to learn to drive
The best way to learn to drive is to spread your lessons over a few weeks on a semi-intensive course. If you choose to take only one lesson a week it can take many months to learn to drive and you may end up paying more in the long run. This is because you can forget what you have learnt from one driving lesson to the next creating a need for many more driving lessons to pass the driving test
