Rural driving can be either a very pleasant and relaxing time or a potentially dangerous nightmare. Not just for the driver making it into a nightmare but for other innocent drivers enjoying our lovely countryside.

How many times have you rounded that blind bend only to be forced into evasive manoeuvres as the oncoming driver has taken the bend at too high a speed?

Also the drivers coming towards you on the wrong side of the road as they misjudge the overtaking and run out of time. Drivers overtaking you dangerously can be the cause of a major disaster too.  Tractors and farm machinery turning onto the road from a "blind" situation can cause drivers to panic making a bad situation worse.

What about horses and riders, pheasants and wildlife in general too, they can all change in an instant to a very unpleasant (to say the least) experience. Ramblers and people walking   enjoying the fresh air should be waving and smiling to you, not shouting and shaking fists because they were nearly wiped out by bad and inconsiderate driving.

Driving on rural roads in adverse weather conditions while having to deal with the above including bad drivers at the same time can be daunting.
